What is "Aninut" in Halacha?

Aninut refers specifically to the state of mourning that occurs immediately following a death, before the burial of the deceased. This period is characterized by intense grief, and the mourners, known as "Avelim," are not yet involved in the rituals associated with mourning that take place after the burial, known as "Shiva." During Aninut, there are certain Halachic (Jewish legal) considerations and restrictions placed on the mourner, particularly in relation to their engagement with daily life and obligations.
